  • Amaya
    In Belgravia. Sumptuous, innovative Indian cuisine in a gorgeous setting.
  • Asia de Cuba
    In Covent Garden. Excellent Asian/Cuban fusion at St. Martin's Lane hotel.
  • Axis at One Aldwych
    On the Strand. A destination even if you're not in the neighborhood.
  • Brasserie Roux
    In Mayfair. Traditional French brasserie cuisine in a lovely space.
  • Covent Garden Hotel
    In Covent Garden. Posh, casual, swish and lovely. Great menu and a nice place to eat or just hang out for drinks.
  • Cocoon
    Near Piccadilly Circus. Fabulous Pan Asian cuisine and trendy, fun decor.
  • The Forge
    In Covent Garden. Gorgeous. Another sister restaurant to Le Deuxieme and Le Cafe du Jardin but less French, more British and completely fabulous.
  • The Gay Hussar
    In Soho. Small and cozy with traditional Hungarian menu. The food is delicious and portions are large.
  • Hakuba (formerly Kobe London)
    Near Tottenham Court Road. Our favorite Japanese restaurant. Completely fabulous.
  • Indigo at One Aldwych
    On the Strand. Great food in a lovely setting.
  • The Ivy
    In Covent Garden. Impossible to get into for dinner but lunch is also fabulous. Modern British cuisine beautifully done.
  • Jaan at Swissotel
    On the Embankment. Gorgeous. The food, the service, the decor; everything is fabulous. It is now modern British cuisine, not French/Asian fusion (the web sites need updating), and is completely exquisite.
  • L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon
    In Covent Garden. Exquisite. One of the best restaurants in London.
  • Le Cafe du Jardin
    In Covent Garden. Sister restaurant to Le Deuxieme with a similar menu, it's an equally excellent experience.
  • Le Deuxieme
    In Covent Garden. Excellent in every way. Small, intimate, outstanding.
  • The Little Italy
    In Soho. Some of the best Italian cuisine we've ever had.
  • Maze
    In Mayfair. Completely gorgeous in every way.
  • Mon Plaisir
    Excellent classic French country cooking in the heart of Covent Gardent.
  • Moti Mahal
    In Covent Garden. Elegant, exquisite, Indian cuisine. One of our all-time favorites.
  • Patara
    In Soho. Completely exquisite, delicious and beautiful. There are several locations.
  • Rules
    In Covent Garden. Very posh, very beautiful, very delicious. Traditional British cuisine nicely done.
  • The Red Fort
    In Soho. Exquisite upscale Indian food in an elegant atmosphere. One of our favorite restaurants ever.
  • Tamarai
    In Covent Garden. Dark, spacious ambience with amazing pan-asian cuisine.
  • Vanilla
    In Fitzrovia. Elegant perfection with inventive cuisine, amazing service and lovely ambience.
  • Wild Honey
    In Mayfair. Gorgeous decor, cuisine and service.
  • Yauatcha
    In Soho. Posh, modern decor and exquisite chinese cuisine. Not like anything you've ever had before.

Casual

  • Belgo Centraal
    Excellent Belgian food.
  • Busaba Eathai
    Wagamama style seating and service with excellent Thai menu.
  • Canela
    Small, casual, delicious. Portuguese cuisine nicely done.
  • Eat.
    Like Pret, with pre-packaged sandwiches, but it has tables and warm food also available. Quick, clean and yummy.
  • Hamburger Union
    Order up front and then sit down. Clean and pleasant with simple food.
  • Loch Fyne
    Seafood and more, excellent and lovely.
  • Masala Zone
    Nice non-posh restaurant, table service and excellent menu.
  • Paradiso
    In many locations. Fabulous!
  • Ping Pong
    In Soho. They say it's "little steamed parcels of deliciousness" and it is! Amazing dim sum.
  • Pizza Express
    Our favorite pizza on the planet.
  • Pret a Manger
    Not really a sit-down restaurant but the sandwiches are yummy.
  • Sushi Hiroba
    Much more than sushi, it's all good.
  • Tas
    The food is fabulous.
  • The Ultimate Burger
    Great burgers and other yummy menu items. Near the British Museum.
  • Wagamama
    Communal-style seating. Lunch and dinner; excellent asian fusion.
  • Wahaca
    The best Mexican food in London. We can't get enough of it.
