The Feast
We're in London for a few more days, continues...
Last night we had dinner with Mary and Eliza and Eliza's delightful school friend Sarah. We went to Asia de Cuba. The food is completely amazing and the portions are enormous. Even though we were really stuffed we just had to get the dessert called "The Bay of Pigs" just because the name is so bizarre. It's so huge the five of us shared it. Yummy!
The restaurant is lovely and last night it was packed and very loud. Our table was near the entrance so we had excellent people-watching. One beautiful person after another walked in, I've never seen anything like it. Then a particularly gross middle-aged man walked in with two stunning, skinny, very young, beautiful women in very tight, very short skirts with very very, high heels. We decided they were "rentals" for sure.
A group of four walked in and one of the women was at least 50 pounds overweight and was wearing a strapless dress that was only staying up because of some strategically placed double-sided tape. It was quite astonishing. I'm sure she'll have a rash.
The Eye of the Storm
Yesterday afternoon we had a reprieve from the ongoing "big storm of the winter" with blue sky and dramatic clouds.
