Chilly in London
We're in London!
We arrived in London this morning, yay.
At the Virgin Atlantic Lounge at San Francisco International we ran into Adam Curry for the second time. When I saw him I told him how much I enjoyed hearing him play Kirsty's new music on his podcast. She had responded to his podcast the next day and it's all hilarious. Adam was very nice, once again.
The flight itself was one of the easiest ever. No talkers! Wow. However, before take-off I did overhear the conversation the woman in the seat next to me was having on her cellphone about her missing luggage. Well, all of us heard it, we didn't have a choice. She told off the guy at the other airline for her connecting flight, repeating herself about twenty times and ending it with, "I don't hear you taking this situation seriously." Yikes. Then, her conversation with her personal assistant was a very Paula Abdul moment. "Well, do you think you did your job? To me it doesn't seem like you did your job." Yikes, a Power Bitch. They told her that her luggage was going to be a day late but after hearing how she treated them on the phone I have my hopes up it will be lost forever.
Actually I was surprised by how many people were talking on their cellphones right up until the last minute. Even after they had announced they should be shut off. I heard the young girl across from me on her phone say, "This flight is going to be really weird. The seats are all strange and diagonal and there is this footrest thing and I had to walk up stairs to get to my seat." LOL.
John slept almost the entire flight and I slept about three hours. We both watched Stardust although I missed the last ten minutes because the plane landed. And I watched The Invasion, which was excellent.
We arrived home and there was a greeting on the wall from our friends/houseguests, Mary and Eliza. So sweet! They totally went out of their way getting the house ready for us and I really appreciate it.

We can't go on meeting like this! 2nd time in the SFO lounge.
The 'lost luggage woman' sat next to me in the lounge on the phone complaining about her situation for about an hour. She came in about 5 minutes after me and immediately ordered a champagne to 'calm her nerves'. Oy.
You neglected to post that we discussed Kirsty's nakedness....
