Islands in the Sea

We're in California for a while, continues...

The view from our house on the hill is currently my favorite blog photo op. Kind of like the view of the London skyline from our house in London, it's always there and available for a slow blogging day.

Yesterday morning, it looked like we were on the edge of an ocean, with little islands poking up out of the sea. It was the fog settled in the valley with a few of the lower hills visible above the whiteness. Simply gorgeous, we can't believe we live here.

And there is John putting his new Segway to good use taking our trash cans out to the street. Our driveway is very long, and uphill, so walking the cans is really quite a chore. That Segway is really handy.
